My Circle | Week 4

My Circle | Steve DeFrain | “Permission Slip Friendship”

Bible Passages/Key Points:

“PERMISSION SLIP FRIENDSHIP”

Proverbs 29…Those who flatter their neighbors are spreading nets for their feet.

I AGREE TO…

(POINT ONE) NOT GET INSULTED

Proverbs 9…Whoever corrects a mocker invites insults; whoever rebukes the wicked incurs abuse. Do not rebuke mockers or they will hate you; rebuke the wise and they will love you. Instruct the wise and they will be wiser still; teach the righteous and they will add to their learning.

(POINT TWO) WELCOME YOUR INSIGHT

Proverbs 27…Perfume and incense bring joy to the heart, and the pleasantness of a friend springs from their heartfelt advice.

(POINT THREE) BE OKAY WITH YOUR INTERROGATION

Matthew 18… 15 “If your brother or sister  sins, go and point out their fault, just between the two of you. If they listen to you, you have won them over.

(POINT FOUR) GROW FROM YOUR INSTRUCTION

Proverbs 12… 1 Whoever loves discipline loves knowledge, but whoever hates correction is stupid… 15 The way of fools seems right to them, but the wise listen to advice.

Proverbs 19… 20Listen to advice and accept discipline, and at the end you will be counted among the wise.
