“The Impact of Integrity” | Taylor Thompson
“The Impact Of Integrity”
Proverbs 10:9 – 9 Whoever walks in integrity walks securely, but whoever takes crooked paths will be found out.
Proverbs 11:3 – 3 The integrity of the upright guides them, but the unfaithful are destroyed by their duplicity.
Proverbs 20:7 – 7 The righteous lead blameless lives; blessed are their children after them.
Integrity is choosing to do the right thing when you know you won’t get caught, and you know you won’t get credit.
James 2:10 – 10 For whoever keeps the whole law and yet stumbles at just one point is guilty of breaking all of it.
Matthew 4:1-2 – 1 Then Jesus was led by the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted by the devil. 2 After fasting forty days and forty nights, he was hungry.
3 AREAS WHERE YOUR INTEGRITY WILL BE TESTED…
Matthew 4:3-4 – 3 The tempter came to him and said, “If you are the Son of God, tell these stones to become bread.” 4 Jesus answered, “It is written: ‘Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’”
(POINT ONE) PLEASURE
Matthew 4:5-7 – 5 Then the devil took him to the holy city and had him stand on the highest point of the temple. 6 “If you are the Son of God,” he said, “throw yourself down. For it is written:
“‘He will command his angels concerning you,
and they will lift you up in their hands,
so that you will not strike your foot against a stone.’”
7 Jesus answered him, “It is also written: ‘Do not put the Lord your God to the test.’”
(POINT TWO) PRIDE
Matthew 4:8-10 – 8 Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their splendor. 9 “All this I will give you,” he said, “if you will bow down and worship me.” 10 Jesus said to him, “Away from me, Satan! For it is written: ‘Worship the Lord your God, and serve him only.’”
(POINT THREE) POSSESSIONS
1 John 2:15-17 – 15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 17 And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever. (NLT)
